GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® Certification Process Summary

Total Costs:
Gyrotonic Certification: $3400 base, plus any additional studio fees
Gyrokinesis Certification: $2100 base, plus any additional studio fees

Gyrokinesis Certification Process

Each step is a prerequisite for the next:
Step 1 - Gyrokinesis Pretraining - 6 days, minimum 4 hours each day. The focus is on bringing a physical and mental understanding of the exercises and rhythm of classes in each student's body.
2006 Base Cost: $550 + admin/studio fees

Step 2 - Gyrokinesis Foundation Course - 9 days, minimum 4 hours each day. The focus is on preparing the student to become a teacher of Gyrokinesis. After graduation from this course, the student officially becomes a Gyrokinesis Apprentice and may teach classes.
2006 Base Cost: $950 + admin/studio fees

Step 3 - Apprenticeship Period - Lasts 3 - 12 months. During this time, the Apprentice is required to teach and log a minimum of 30 classes (min of 60 minutes each).

Step 4 - Apprenticeship Update & Review - 3 days, 4 hours each day. The Apprentice must have taught and logged at least 15 of the apprentice classes before moving on to this step.
2006 Base Cost: $350 + admin/studio fees

Step 5 - Final Certification Test - This is a 2-day test with Juliu Horvath, creator of the system. You will be expected to teach classes under his observation. Successful completion of this step graduates you from Apprentice to Certified Teacher. If you do not complete this step within 12 months of the foundation course, then your Apprenticeship status will expire.
2006 Base Cost: $250 + admin/studio fees

Step 6 - Continuing Education - A Certified Teacher must renew their membership with headquarters every couple years. A renewal fee and update course is a required.

Gyrotonic Certification Process

Each step is a prerequisite for the next:
Step 1 - Gyrotonic Pretraining - approximately 24 hours training, may vary. The focus is on bringing a physical and mental understanding of the exercises to each student's body.
2006 Base Cost: $850 + admin/studio fees

Step 2 - Gyrotonic Foundation Course - approximately 12 days (~60 hours). The focus is on preparing the student to become a teacher of Gyrotonic. After graduation from this course, the student officially becomes a Gyrokinesis Apprentice and may train clients.
2006 Base Cost: $1500 + admin/studio fees

Step 3 - Apprenticeship Period - Lasts 3 - 12 months. During this time, the Apprentice is required to teach and log a minimum of 60 hours of clients on the Gyrotonic Expansion System.

Step 4 - Apprenticeship Update & Review - 6 days. After the student completes at least half of the required apprenticship hours, the student is required to have superived hours with a master trainer. This review course fulfills that requirement.
2006 Base Cost: $700 + admin/studio fees

Step 5 - Final Certification Test - This is a 2-day test with Juliu Horvath, creator of the system. You will be expected to teach classes under his observation. Successful completion of this step graduates you from Apprentice to Certified Teacher. If you do not complete this step within 12 months of the foundation course, then your Apprenticeship status will expire.
